A truck has wreaked havoc on a suburban Sydney street, smashing into cars and homes in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were called to Gilchrist Drive in Campbelltown about 5am on Saturday to find an abandoned eight-wheeled flatbed truck, with attached crane, a number of smashed cars, uprooted trees, and debris from the remains of a nearby property’s front fence.
NSW Police say the truck is believed to have been stolen and the driver had fled the scene by the time they arrived.
No injuries have been reported.

The impact appears to have knocked the home’s mailbox free from the brick wall.
‘A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident,’ a NSW Police spokeswoman said.
Emergency crews remain on the scene mopping up the damage.
