Harley-Davidson X440: Background

In September 2020, Harley-Davidson ceased its operations in India. However, just a month later, it formed a strategic partnership with Hero MotoCorp, a well-known local two-wheeler brand. The collaboration aimed to jointly develop high-end motorcycles specifically for the Indian market.

The motorcycle will go up against the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda H’ness CB350, Benelli Imperiale 400 among others.

Harley-Davidson X440: Expected price

According to online reports, Harley-Davidson X440 is expected to come with a price tag of ₹2.7 lakh (ex-showroom).

Harley-Davidson X440 will be equipped with MRF tyres with retro tread pattern.

Harley-Davidson X440 will be powered by oil-cooled, single-cylinder 440 cc engine with the ability to deliver a maximum output of 20hp and 27Nm peak torque, although this could be 40Nm.

Harley-Davidson India will take the wraps off its X440 motorcycle in the country today. The two-wheeler automobile company has scheduled a launch event at 7:20pm where it will unveil Harley-Davidson X440.

The motorcycle has been co-developed in a first-ever collaboration between Harley-Davidson India and Hero MotoCorp. The upcoming Harley-Davidson X400 bike is rumoured to be the cheapest Harley-Davidson in India.
