Yamaha YZF-R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary Limited Edition

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Yamaha recently introduced the YZF-R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary Limited Edition in Europe. The exclusive model has been produced in a limited quantity of only 25 units, and is also quickly sold out.

Despite incorporating the GYTR package, the design of the R1 remains unchanged. It retains the twin projector headlights with a flat cowl and a transparent bubble visor. However, the R1 GYTR edition features a distinct paint scheme in white, red, and black. In addition to the mentioned features, the R1 GYTR comes equipped with a carbon-fiber sub-frame, a custom-made swingarm taken directly from Yamaha’s WBSK race bike, and a complete Akrapovic exhaust system.

The Yamaha YZF-R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary Limited Edition is packed with advanced features, including a Magneti Marelli ECU, race setup switch cubes, and a new TFT screen integrated into a carbon frame. Carbon-fiber is extensively used throughout the bike to reduce weight.

Under the hood, it is powered by the same 998cc, four-cylinder motor, mated to a six-speed gearbox and benefiting from a clutchless quickshifter. Although exact power figures are yet to be revealed, expectations are that it will surpass 200bhp.

To handle its formidable power, the R1 GYTR is equipped with the GYTR Pro Electronic System module (GPES), offering various electronic rider aids such as ride modes, wheelie control, launch control, engine braking management, and traction control. Additionally, a pit lane speed limiter is likely included since the bike is designed for track use.

The suspension setup features fully adjustable Ohlins FGR USD forks and a TTX monoshock with a preload adjuster, while braking is managed by dual front and a single rear disc with a Brembo setup. Forged aluminum wheels wrapped in race-ready slicks further enhance its performance.

However, this high-performance package comes at a premium price of EUR 159,000, approximately Rs 1.44 crore (excluding taxes).
